In Romania, a new recycling program has already achieved a 94% collection rate of glass, plastic, and metal containers in just two years. The program, powered by RetuRO, incentivizes retailers to install “reverse vending machines”, and uses a deposit program to incentivize consumers.

Bummer of the Week:

Unemployment is up across the United States, but the demographic hit the hardest is Black women.
