Win of the Week:

Lyft helped American citizens exercise their right to vote by offering discounted or free rides to polling stations. The Lyft Up program is in partnership with the NAACP, NCNW, and APIAVote, and it’s the tenth year that the company has offered this program. In that time, Lyft has helped more than 3 million people vote.

Bummer of the Week:

Last week, massive flooding in Valencia killed over 200 people, and many are still missing. The city’s outskirts were hit with tsumani-like flooding last Tuesday and Wednesday. Climate scientists and meteorologists say that the storm was fueled by a record-hot Mediterranean Sea.
