Habitat for Humanity is Hiring

Whattup, job seekers! We’re hitting your inbox to spotlight an awesome organization, and we bet you’ve heard of this one. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, didn’t go on a youth group trip in your teens, or somehow haven’t seen their iconic logo on a t-shirt, that is.

That’s right, we’re talking about Habitat for Humanity. Maybe you’ve heard of them, but we bet you didn’t know what a baddie this org is and all the ways they’re making a positive difference in the world.

Let’s break it down.

Habitat for Humanity is focused on making sure that everyone has access to live in affordable and safe homes. Since their founding in 1976, they've helped nearly 50 million people achieve this goal.

The organization is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, but they have job opportunities all over the world, including remote positions. They currently work in over 70 countries.

Along with building affordable housing, Habitat for Humanity also advocates for an increase in Black home ownership, supports disaster relief efforts, and provides financial education.

What did we tell you…they.are.badass.

Habitat for Humanity is currently hiring a Director of Corporate and Community Partnerships in San Francisco, CA. Check it out and apply here!

Win of the Week:

Online secondhand clothing seller ThreadUp released its annual sustainability report last week, and the results are impressive. In 2023, they recirculated 2.2 million items of clothing and diverted 100% of the items it didn’t sell from landfills through recycling and donation programs.

Bummer of the Week:

According to multiple surveys, the general public is still wary of driving electric vehicles because of a lack of access to charging stations. “Charger hogs,” which are drivers that stay at a charging station until their car is fully charged, are making the problem worse.
