How to Succeed on LinkedIn in 2025

Is your LinkedIn page in need of a makeover? Have no fear, Impact Job is here! With our tips, you can get your profile spruced up in no time.
BUT, success on LinkedIn isn’t just about updating your work experience. If you want the platform to actually land you your next job, you need to hang out and connect with others. We’ll show ya how to do that too.
Without further ado, here’s your road map to succeeding on LinkedIn in 2025, cause you’ve avoided it long enough, babe.

Here’s a little LinkedIn listy list:
Complete your dang profile. That includes: a professional photo, a strong headline, your about section, and your work experience. This is your time to shine, so don’t half-ass it. You want to tell a concise story of who you are and highlight your skills, achievements, and measurable results.
Post on the reg. Don’t just set up a profile and then forget that LinkedIn exists. The more you engage, the more visible you’ll be. Post work updates and achievements, industry news, and what you’re learning. One post per week is good enough, but 2-5 will get you the best bang for your buck.
Engage in others’ posts. Again, the more you engage, the more visible you’ll be. Leave thoughtful comments and engage in discussions. This is how you actually build relationships on LinkedIn.
Build authentic connections. Don’t request to connect with tons of people and then ghost them. Leave thoughtful messages, especially if you haven’t met them before, and start up a conversation with them. You should also join groups that are relevant to your field and contribute to the conversation.
Turn on “Open to Work.” If you’re looking for a job, you need to let your LinkedIn community know. Using the Open to Work feature and setting job alerts will keep you ahead of the game. You should also follow companies you’re interested in and engage with their content.

If you’ve been avoiding LinkedIn, it’s time to rip the band-aid off and dive in. Trust us, it’s not as overwhelming as it seems! You can make genuine connections that may even lead to your next job.

Win of the Week:
Pakistan is experiencing a solar panel revolution—one of the fastest booms in the world. The most fascinating part? It’s happening through grassroots movements, not big solar farms or policy pushes.
Bummer of the Week:
Last week, the Trump administration sued four states, Hawaii, Michigan, New York, and Vermont, over their plans to hold fossil fuel giants accountable for climate change. This is one of many attacks on climate action from the Trump administration.
