Greenpeace is Hiring a Digital Engagement Manager…is it you?

When we think about working in the social impact industry, there’s one organization that is always top of mind: Greenpeace. They’re a giant in the environmental organization world, and they’ve been around for 50 years, which means that they were talking about sustainability way before it was cool.

And guess what: they’re hiring!

Could you be the next Digital Engagement Manager at Greenpeace USA? Keep reading for all the deets on this sweet job opening.

In case you haven’t heard of Greenpeace (weird, but okay), they are a global network of independent organizations that use solid research; peaceful protest and creative communication to expose global environmental problems and promote solutions that are essential to a green and peaceful future.

That’s a fancy way of saying that they’re trying to save the planet. According to their website, “We believe optimism is a form of courage. We believe that a billion acts of courage can spark a brighter tomorrow.” Pretty dope, huh?

Okay but let’s actually talk about this job opening now.

The Digital Engagement Manager will lead a world-class, bilingual digital program that will deepen the engagement of Greenpeace supporters, activists and donors. It’s a hybrid role, but applicants must be based in one of the states in which Greenpeace USA is authorized to work: CA, CT, DC, MD, NY, NJ, VA.

The salary range for this role is $72,688-$92,500. Cha-ching!

Win of the Week:

The people behind your favorite ketchup and mac & cheese are giving back. The Kraft Heinz Company Foundation announced that they are extending their ten-year partnership with Rise Against Hunger for three more years and donating $15 million to provide 463 million meals to people in need.

Bummer of the Week:

Climate change and disease are making it harder to source cocoa. Many chocolate companies that source their cocoa from West Africa are scrambling to find new suppliers as the region continues to get hit with climate challenges that impact the cocoa crop.
